In case you ever wanted to know what frequencies make up a
standard talkbox sound, here you will find them all laid out for you.
This can be useful when selecting drivers and/or amps to suit your
needs.
I did this on my Yamaha DX100 using the much-talked-about "C is C" patch,
which originated from Roger Troutman, the Godfather of talkbox funk.
I recorded the tone directly into the computer, and used Adobe Audition 1.5 to
do the frequency analysis.
I took samples of five notes across the range of the keyboard, beginning with
C2 (the lowest note). The note name which carries the fundamental frequency
is displayed at the top of each window.
